Much activity has taken place in Beni, since our Congo Project Launch back in August.
Production of carriers:
We started producing baby carriers almost immediately. We couldn’t wait long, because many women in the community started asking when the carriers will be available and others were calling to say they were ready to buy carriers. Five tailors are present at the stitchery center every day from Monday to Saturday. We have bought all the Kitengi and we are now pushing to reach our goal of 200 carriers. To date, we have produced 132 carriers in Beni!
We are so thankful for Mardoché who is our volunteer in charge of quality control and has reported that he appreciates the neatness and quality of the work of the fabrication of carriers and confirms that these tailors are doing a good job.
