Update from Happy Baby Congo: Production and Community Education

  • Production: We are thankful for the hard work of our local tailors who continued to make carriers for the rest of October through beginning of December. Every day the work started at 8 and they closed the shop at 4 pm. In total 174 carriers were made through our first phase project.

  • Community education: Our HB community educators visited various places in the past two months. They visited several schools and were invited to talk to a local medical school as well as conducting a conference at the office of Beni’s Mayor in the presence of all the staff on the health benefits of carriers.  The message was very well received and many people who attended the conference said they desire to buy carriers. The team is continuously reaching out to people on different streets of Beni with the same message.
